Refunds, Missed Sessions, Changes, etc.
When registering for a camp, clinic, or other program with Topspin, you have reserved a spot in that specific program. There are no refunds unless Topspin determines it cannot accommodate the player into that program. The Academy truly hopes you will be able to attend every session you signed up for. By registering for that program, you are taking the ability for someone else to have that spot and most of our clinics and camps work off of very small margins. The Academy makes decisions if clinics will run based off these registrations. Programs take place regardless of a specific participant attending. We rent the courts, pay our instructors and provide the equipment with each session.
After registration, if you realize you will not be able to participate in an entire program, if you notify Topspin with sufficient time that we can find a replacement for that spot we will credit you toward another program less an administrative fee. No requests for changes will be considered within two weeks of the start of a program.
Staffing needs do not allow missed sessions to be made up or refunds given. The academy has reached a size where making accommodations has become too much of a logistical burden. The sheer volume of players and staffing required make it impossible to allow individuals to come at different times for conflicts with vacations, school activities, other sports, illnesses, etc. Topspin is unable to grant makeups for participants’ conflicts. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Other Important Details
- Clinics generally require 4 student minimum, we will work to fill all programs but may redirect players to other clinics if numbers do not materialies.
- There is no makeup for the first weather related cancellation. Some clinics have built in cancelation days. We will makeup additional missed sessions for inclement weather or if unable to credit individuals toward future clinics.
- Staff make the final decisions for placing players in appropriate groups
- Player to staff will not exceed 7 to 1 ration (and generally is much less. Our target is 5 to 1.)
- Site rental and staffing needs do not allow missed sessions to be made up or refunds give for player illness, personal conflicts, etc.

Covid-19 and other illnesses
Topspin has essentially resumed normal operations with its clinics. If you would prefer to wear a mask to clinics you are welcome to but not required. Please do not attend if you have a fever have other symptoms of the Corona virus or other ailments that are contagious.
